Sharon Thinkin Out Loud Thursday, May 15, 2003: Ick. Am I like the only person on the face of the earth under forty who really doesn't care for rapper 50 Cent. First of all, it just bugs me that (according the "The View") the name is supposed to be pronounced "Fiddy Cint" Excuse me. Grrrrrr. And I really don't care for his raps. One of them has a line that says something like "I'm into sex, not making love....so get over her and gimme a hug." Whatever. Lovely. And there is another one out with such a monotone it is ridiculous. The video is a joke and my daughter said it was like number one requested recently. It's so stupid. Some guys in jail, including famous model Tyson, and one's singing something like "If I was down and out, would you still (stand by me.?) Uh, honey, you're in jail dawg - how low can you get? And you're lady's there visiting you isn't she? So I guess she's standin by her man. And what's with the non-plural CENT instead of Cents? I'm just stumped what fans see in this person. 50 Cent... I'll pay a quarter... Sharon // 10:08 AM ______________________ Yep, last night on American Idol it was Kimberly who was eliminated - *sniff* - actually, she probably knew it. So now it's Ruben vs. Clay. I have NO idea what's going to happen with that. Both are crowd favorites. I did see a poll where - between he, Ruben and Kimberly - he got like 60+% of the vote. I hope they have the final round next week instead of some dang reunion show first. Last night's The Bachelor was the "reunion" show and it was pretty good. I love how everyone really stuck it to Cristina. I loved when that outspoken chick (eliminated in round one... wonder why...) told her that she was the oldest and should have made a better example. Basically said that she turned out to be the most immature and catty of all of em. Hehehe. Liz and Amber got to give us a better perspective on themselves and what they were going through during the taping of the show. I loved when Amber said she was the one who was running out of the room when the cameras showed up - and the host says... but you knew it was going to be on tv, right? Tehehe. And Tina, if she was still on the show I'd be rooting for her big time. I just like that gal. She has a future in TV, I'm tellin ya. She's classy yet down to earth. Funny, and she never said one bad thing about anyone on the show, during taping or on camera afterward. Sharon // 7:18 AM ______________________ Tuesday, May 13, 2003: I had a really nice time visiting my mom and sister on Mother's Day, Sunday. Dan brought me home some really gorgeous flowers on Saturday night. (I've been on a fresh flower kick the past few months - have to have some in the house all the time - even if it's just a couple daisies.) Sunday morning, the kids cleaned their rooms, and all around the house. Dan made me a great breakfast. It was nice. Except when Dan's back got worse (sciatica) and he stalled on going with us to the bay area. That's okay, he needed the rest. After leaving my mom's house, we were supposed to go to my mother in law's. She and Dalela were going to the cemetery and due back after 5pm, so about 5:45 we went by there, but unfortunately she was still out so I left her flowers on the front porch. I was suffering with my cold and couldn't wait around any longer, so after sitting in the van out front for about 20 mins., we took off for home. Well, tonight American Idol is on. My guess is that Kimberly (who has improved her look and style a lot - and I really enjoy her singing) will be eliminated - leaving a Clay vs. Ruben finale! Is it Ruben or Rueben? Not sure. Anyway, personally I like Clay better, but a lot of people think Ruben will win. I would be happy either way. And I see a good future for Clay either way. And Ruben too. They're both really wonderful Tomorrow night is the Bachelor and Extreme Makeover. Whenever these Bachelor shows start, I don't even feel like watching them. But of course, if I watch one or two episodes, I get hooked and all into it. Geez, it's like watching a train wreck sometimes. Like the Amber "Olive Garden" most uncomfortable moment of any of the Bachelor shows! Or that emotional basket case, Christy, from the second season. And overly dramatic Liz from this season. And overly aggressive bitch Christina from this season. It's too funny. I think my favorite season has been the BachelorETTE. I was surprised she picked Ryan! I thought it was Charlie all the way. And hey Ryan the Poet/Firefighter is no slouch. She and Ryan are getting married this summer - well not sure the date, because it is top secret! Funny, that the only Bachelor/Bachelorette couple still together is Trista and Ryan (hmph, it takes a woman to choose correctly...) This year, I predict Jen will be who Andrew chooses. I think he is a little more physically attracted to Kirsten, but her ex boyfriend and the fact that NOBODY in the bachelorette house liked her at all, will play a big part in his decision. If he ends up picking Kirsten, I predict they don't last very long. This Saturday my sister will be having a graduation ceremony (receiving her Associates Degree.) The whole family, and some friends, will be going there and then off to have a picnic up at Redwood Park. It will be a birthday celebration too. It will be for my dad, my sis, me, and Cassie. Then on Sunday, Dan and the kids are going to go with me to the Oakdale Chocolate Festival! Woo hoo. I think I'll give in and have a little bit o' chocolate, how could I resist when they have a "Chocolate Avenue?" Sharon // 1:35 PM ______________________
