Talk about WTF and OUCH!!!! Okay, apparently weightlifting can be hazardous to your rectum (and all that it entrails... sorry couldn't resist). Not for the faint of heart, or the weak of stomach...

See ya.

John's graduation ceremony was really nice, and it was fun seeing how big all the kids got! Steven is huge - the twins Josh and Jesse are huge - John is huge - and they are all tallll. Got to see my good friend Saryl who I've known since 3rd grade (mother of Steven) and my ex sister-in-law Ang and her husband Bill (parents of the twins - they are my oldest daughter's aunt/uncle/cousins.) After we went to my mom's for pizza, etc. It was cool. Saw my stepdad's family for the first time in ages.

I didn't think I would, because it's like the fourth Hannibal movie out, but I really enjoyed watching Red Dragon. It stars Edward Norton, Ralph Fiennes, Emily Watson, and of course Anthony Hopkins. Creeeepy. There is one scene that my daughter almost had a heart attack but she swore to me that she is used to that stuff these days. I probably shouldn't have let her watch it (she's eleven) but she begged me to let her stay up with me and watch it. She watched The Ring with us, too.

My little brother John graduates from high school this Friday! I graduated 20 years ago! Wow. John was born when I was 18. I graduated at an age that was a year younger than everyone else and John is graduating a year older than everyone else - thus the twenty year difference in grad years. Also one of my good friend's, Saryl, has a son graduating Friday. I can't believe how big he is! Also, my daughter Cassie's cousins, twins Jesse and Josh, graduate then also. So I must attend and will be hanging out at my mother's for a bit afterward. Looking forward to it.

Crap, Dan has my van again today - and of course didn't leave his keys his car. (My honda has something wrong with it.) I told him that's it, before you know it, I'll have to ask HIM if it's okay to use my van. Hey it ain't fun stuck at home with the kiddies all day long. That's why yesterday we went for a long walk. We ended up at the pet store. We got another hermit crab. He had a painted shell with lines of gold glitter paint on it. He is close in size to our little crab, Crusty. We were going to call him/her Sparkles (y'know, cuz of the shell) but that little silly changed his shell right away, of course while we were at the park! When we first put him in the crabitat, he started checking out all the shells. I thought we'd better buy some bigger ones, but he picked the cone shaped white one - it is a bit bigger than his other. It is sort of shiny so we can still call him Sparkles. I need to find out how to tell the sex of a hermit crab. I guess I'll do a google or yahoo search.

I know I talk about candles way too much, but I have found these great wax tarts that you put in your tart warmer/potpourri burners. The seller is called "innoscents" on ebay. It's like one buck for six tarts and you can also request samples. They sent me a crapload of samples and they all smell too good. They have a website: http://www.innoscentscandles.com/tarts.html

Good news. In Palo Alto, they have found the missing girl Janette Tamayo from San Jose. She was abducted by some weirdo from her home yesterday or Friday. He tried to strangle her brother and beat her mother badly (after they arrived home) while she sat in the back of the guy's car, which he had backed into their garage after following her into her home. The police have a surveillance tape. They say it is obvious she was NOT a random target. Anyway, they have found her (no word on her condition yet), and they are currently chasing the suspect in a vehicle.

Got to see my friend Cheryl yesterday. She was in town at her Mom's house and they were having a yard sale. I got to also see her baby son, Tanner. He is SOOOO cute! He looks just like Cheryl. I found out that Karon's (Cheryl's mom) husband Al passed away recently. I felt really sad for her. She has been through so much in the last ten years. Funny how we all grew up in Alameda, but there we were sitting in front of Cheryl's Mom's house here in the San Joaquin Valley, 70 miles away. Cheryl lived here for years too. Until her son, Christopher, was tragically killed in 1999. He was only five, he would have been six years old the following week, but he was hit by a car as he tried to run across a street down on Alameda Avenue. Alameda. The town where we grew up and he is killed on a street by the same name, but here in this town. It was so devastating. I went into early labor at the funeral. The funeral was on my brother's birthday July 22, 1999. Shannon was actually born on August 3rd of that year.
