I just found out that the voice of Patrick on SpongeBob Squarepants is the guy who played Dauber on the "Coach" series (starred Craig T. Nelson). I knew it. You can totally tell.

Our new hermit crabs are Big Daddy and Crabatha. Big Daddy's shell is about the size of a golf ball. Crabatha is only about the size of a marble. Big Daddy was really shy at first, but now he is just the friendliest thing. Poor Danny got a little pinch the first day Dan brought him home - the same day the kids and I picked out little Crabatha. He was nervous and Danny cupped his hand instead of held it flat while holding him. He didn't know any better (either of them) so Big Daddy - originally called Pinchey - just instinctively clamped on to him. He hasn't pinched anyone since. Now Cleo and Krusty Krabb have two new friends. Their crabitat looks pretty cool. I have a few inches of "beach" colored Calci-Sand on the base, mixed with black FMR sand. There is a choya log on which they love to climb and munch. I have a platform made out of a slice of a tree and moss with a little faux tree for them to climb on top of it. There is a coconut hut, and a big clamshell that I prop against the platform to make another hideaway. There are two water bowls. One has a sea sponge and the other has a blue glass moon in it. That makes it so the little ones don't get stuck in and drown. They also like to eat the sea sponge and/or get their water with it instead. There is a plastic tub at the end of the tank as an iso tank in case one decides to molt, or if one seems to need some solitude. We have extra shells but only one would fit Cleo or Krusty. None would fit Crabatha, so we need to get more. I went to the craft store a few days ago and they didn't have any. I guess I'll go back to Pet Barn (very over-priced). Big Daddy has a bunch of shells he can change into. He has changed shells about three times since we got him. I JUST missed him do it the last time. There is a hideaway shell (conkle) and Calci-Sand in the iso and for now there are plastic stairs leading to it, as well as a branch leading up out of the tub so they can play in there until it is used for a molt. There are also a few sterile rocks in the main tank for them to climb on.

It's hot, hot, hot here in town. Oh man, I just realized I have to leave in a minute to p/u Cassie. Anyway, I'm hopin that it's not this hot this weekend. We're going camping in the area. Whoa, I just am watching a video of a bear tearing through someone's campsite and I guess he had injured some people. Yikes. No bears where we're headed. At least I don't think so.... I'll be back.
