Sharon Thinkin Out Loud Saturday, July 26, 2003: Easy Raspberry Mocha Latte which I made for myself this morning (I know, I'll get back on low carb on Monday!): Pour half a packet of powdered Hot Chocolate at the bottom of a large coffee/latte mug. Poor in desired amount of piping hot brewed (preferrably french roast) coffee. Add a "shot" of Raspberry Flavoring. I used "Stirling Gourmet Flavors" brand in English Red Raspberry. (If desired, leave out the Raspberry.) Stir. Pour about a 1/2 cup of milk in a wide mouth mug or container and microwave it for a minute. Take a hand blender (as used for smoothies and such) and use it at a slight angle on low/medium in the milk till it is foamy - about 20 seconds. Take a spoon and hold the foam in container while pouring the warm milk into coffee mixture. Poor remaining foam on top. Sprinkle with chocolate shavings or sprinkles. I was out of those, so I just sprinkled a bit of the leftover hot chocolate powder on top. Enjoy. You can make another one using the rest of the hot chocolate in the packet. Sharon // 1:39 PM ______________________ Tuesday, July 22, 2003: Had fun camping at Caswell Park over the weekend. Unfortunately it was over 100 degrees the first day. But innertubing down the river really cooled us off and it was gorgeous. That was lots of fun. Yesterday we went to breakfast at the Flying J Truck Stop. There is a greaaat diner there called the Country Market. Good stuff. And it was very reasonable. The kids had the breakfast buffet and ate all the food on their plates. There is a little gift shop/market in the middle and we went in there and the kids all picked out something for themselves. I even got some Art Candle/Time & Again Scented Waffle Bars. They are like wax tarts, but in a waffle bar with eight squares. I got Key Lime Pie and Rain scents. They smell great. And the size of the little squares fit great in my smaller sized warmer. And then I used more squares for the electric warmer I have. (Although you're apparently not supposed to use them in electric warmers...) Sharon // 4:24 PM ______________________
